AB 672: What Can You Do?

Tuesday, November 30, 2021

11:00 a.m

Assembly Bill 672, appropriately dubbed the ‘Public Golf Endangerment Act’ by the Southern California Golf Association (SCGA) proposes to convert municipally owned golf courses to affordable housing, and would appropriate $50 million to incentivize local governments to do so.

It is not hyperbole to suggest that AB 672 is the most serious threat to public golf in the state’s history, and the ability of the golf industry to defeat the proposal is likely to hinge on how successful we are in organizing and motivating large numbers of golfers to voice their opposition to the bill.

We will present two (2) webinars to help golf course owners, GM’s, Head Pros, Superintendents, and others learn about AB 672 and what they can do to defeat the bill.  The first webinar will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 30, and the second will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 7.  Both webinars will be the same presentation, but the information is being presented twice to allow as many people as possible access to this important information.

Join one or both of these 45 minute information sessions to learn the key points of AB 672, strategies to make it convenient for your golfers to voice their opposition, and to receive answers to your questions about the bill.

Registration is free to all.

Webinar access details will be included with your registration confirmation email.
